How to prevent the electrode paste from being contaminated during the production process
Electrode paste is a vital material in the battery production process, it is used to bond the positive and negative electrode materials together. However, the electrode paste is vulnerable to various pollution during the production process, which affects the performance and life of the battery, and even causes safety issues. Therefore, it is essential to prevent the electrode paste from being contaminated during the production process. The following are some effective preventive measures.
1. Strict storage management
The electrode paste must be stored in a dedicated enclosed warehouse, and the floor of the warehouse needs to be hardened with concrete to ensure that it is clean and free of debris. If conditions are limited, you can purchase tons of electrode paste packed in bags, put it on a clean ground and cover it with a tarpaulin to prevent dust and debris pollution. When bulk electrode pastes are not stored in a warehouse, they must also be stacked in a clean place on the ground and covered with a tarpaulin to prevent exposure to the sun from changing the performance of the electrode pastes.
2. Standardize the transfer and addition process
In the process of transporting and adding electrode paste, clean tools and appliances must be used to prevent secondary pollution.Someone must be responsible for the measurement and addition of the electrode paste column. It is recommended to measure not less than once per shift and add the paste not less than twice a day to maintain a relatively stable height of the paste column and prevent the electrode from missing paste and hanging paste. After the electrode paste is added, a special cylinder cover is applied to each phase electrode cylinder to prevent dust and debris from falling into the cylinder.
3. Strictly control the production and docking of electrode tubes
Someone must be responsible for the production and docking of the electrode tube, and it must be carried out in strict accordance with the accuracy and size of the equipment and process requirements. The welds must be soldered, there must be no trachoma, and they must be polished and smoothed. After production and docking, the welds are checked with a flaw detector, and a special person is responsible for the acceptance, and the electrode cylinders are numbered so that their quality can be tracked. In order to prevent the weld from cracking, it is recommended to use an electric welding machine to spot weld and reinforce the arc plate and rib plate every 100mm inside the electrode cylinder after the electrode cylinder is finished.
4. Strictly manage the electrode operation process
The length of the electrode working end and the depth of the furnace must be controlled in strict accordance with the process operation requirements. After each shift, it must be accurately measured once, and the number of measurements of each phase electrode should not be less than three times. When the deviation is large, it should be measured several times, and the average value of the three times with the small deviation should be taken as the length of the working end of the electrode.Only by accurately mastering the length of the working end of the electrode and the depth of the furnace can the operation plan of this class be determined, and the length, frequency, time interval, and precautions during operation of the three-phase electrode of this class can be booked.
5. Strengthen the control of electrode pressure discharge
The electrode pressure discharge amount should be determined according to the measurement results of the length of the electrode working end and in accordance with the operating requirements of the process regulations. It is necessary to make a scale on the electrode cylinder, and compare the cumulative pressure-discharge amount (the number of electrode pressure-discharge times multiplied by the length of the secondary pressure-discharge) with the actual pressure-discharge amount (the length of the pressure-discharge read out on the scale) to find signs of electrode accidents in time and deal with them in time to prevent accidents from expanding.
6. Strictly overhaul the electrode system
The maintenance of the three-phase electrode must be carried out in strict accordance with the maintenance operating procedures, especially the insulation system, sealing system and clamping force of the conductive element of the three-phase electrode. The contact surface between the conductive element and the electrode cylinder ribs and fins should be flat and smooth, with no tension grooves, to ensure the area of current transmission, and to prevent the ribs and fins and components from heating up and causing local overburden of the electrode. The insulation of the three-phase electrode must be cleared to prevent the electrode from igniting, burning the electrode cylinder and causing leakage or soft breakage. The sealing must be done well to prevent the flame from penetrating the protective screen and burning out the electrode insulation due to fluctuations in furnace pressure.
7. strengthen production inspection
In daily production management, we should strengthen production inspections, observe and think frequently, and deal with any signs of accidents in a timely manner to prevent accidents from expanding. The inspection content includes the quality of raw materials, ingredients, equipment (ignition, smoke, and fire in the protective screen; circulating water temperature, pressure, etc.), operation, etc.
8. Strictly control the quality of raw materials
The quality of the raw materials has a direct impact on the quality of the electrode paste. All manufacturers should control the various indicators of raw materials from the source, carefully inspect and test them, and never put raw materials that do not meet the indicators into the furnace. The moisture content in the carbon material should be controlled within a certain range, and the particle size of the electrode paste should be less than or equal to 100mm. It is forbidden to add the entire electrode paste directly into the electrode cylinder.
9. Establish a quality management system
Electrode paste is the key material for battery production, and a sound quality management system must be established to ensure that the quality of each batch of electrode paste is stable and reliable.High-quality raw materials are selected and scientifically matched, and strict production processes are followed, including mixing, homogenization, dispensing, drying and other steps, to ensure that every step of the process is accurate.
Through strict management, standardized operation, enhanced inspection and other measures, the electrode paste can be effectively prevented from being contaminated during the production process and the quality and safety of battery production can be ensured.
